Distinguishing the Views and Philosophies

This comprehensive masterpiece by 20th Century Dzogchen master Popa Tulku lays out the entirety of Nyingma philosophy in poetic prose. Popa Tulku was a student of Khenpo Kunpal, who is celebrated for his commentary on Beacon of Certainty--the subject of commentary in our last shedra. Popa Tulku dedicated his life to elucidating the teachings of great Nyingma scholars such as Mipham Rinpoche. He himself described Distinguishing the Views and Philosphies as a meaning commentary to Mipham Rinpoche's Beacon of Certainty.

Anyen Rinpoche describes this texts as one of his very favorites for its richness and clarity. For those who wish to be authentic practitioners of the Longchen Nyingthig lineage, these teachings cannot be missed! We are pleased to invite you all to attend teachings our newest series of Shedra teachings at Orgyen Khamdroling Center: elucidating Nyingma philosophy, and laying the foundation for practicing the perfectly pure view of Dzogchen.   The fall shedra session will meet September 10-11 and October 15-16 at Orgyen Khamdroling Center.   The spring session will be posted soon on the schedule page.
